Crusty and Chrisso have invaded the City of Bunbury council foyer this week, leaving free fertiliser guides and 'crab friendly garden' stickers for locals to take.
City of Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan said the council was happy to support the campaign to try to reduce run-off into local rivers and inlets.
“Fertilising your lawn and garden when it’s about to rain is wasteful as most of it will wash down the drain. If we take care with the fertiliser, our waterways will benefit and so will we,” Mr Brennan said.
Free fertiliser guides are also available around Bunbury from the Department of Fisheries, Department of Water, Bunnings, Soils Aint Soils, BCF and the South West Catchments Council.
